CEAT ranked Sri Lanka’s Most Valuable tyre brand by Brand Finance

  • Also rated strongest tyre brand and 11th strongest brand in the country overall across all sectors
  • Globally ranked 4th strongest tyre brand

CEAT has reinforced its position at the forefront of Sri Lanka’s automotive sector, being ranked the Most Valuable tyre brand in the country, the strongest tyre brand in the market and the 11th strongest brand overall across all sectors in the 2026 edition of the Brand Finance ‘Sri Lanka 100.’

The latest report by Brand Finance, the world’s leading brand valuation consultancy, values the CEAT brand at Rs. 2,544 million as at 1st January 2026, marking a notable increase from Rs. 2,325 million in 2025. In terms of overall brand value, CEAT has advanced to 43rd place among Sri Lanka’s 100 most valuable brands, improving its position by one place year-on-year.

CEAT’s brand’s Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 80.3 out of 100 underpins its standing as the strongest tyre brand in the country, while its AAA- (Extremely Strong) Brand Strength Rating, unchanged from the previous year, places CEAT in the same league as some of Sri Lanka’s most trusted household names.

According to Brand Finance, CEAT continues to demonstrate strong performance across key brand drivers, recording the highest scores for Consideration and Reputation, while also showing resilience in a challenging operating environment.

On the global stage, CEAT’s credentials are further reinforced by its ranking as the fourth strongest tyre brand worldwide, with a BSI score of 84.9, highlighting the brand’s competitiveness in international markets.

Commenting on the achievement, CEAT Kelani Holdings Managing Director Mr Ravi Dadlani said: “This recognition reflects the depth of our engagement with consumers and the discipline with which we continue to build the brand across every touchpoint. Sustained brand strength is not achieved through short-term gains, but through consistent delivery of high-quality products, market responsiveness and the ability to stay relevant in a rapidly evolving landscape. Our focus remains firmly on strengthening these fundamentals as we continue to grow the brand’s presence and influence.”

With more than 1.6 million tyres sold annually, CEAT leads the domestic market across multiple categories, while maintaining its global footprint in over 110 countries, including key markets in Europe and the United States.

Adjudged the Best Tyre Manufacturer earlier this year at the country’s inaugural Automobile Industry Awards presented by the Automobile Industry Council (AIC) of Sri Lanka, CEAT Kelani Holdings’ rise to market leadership is driven by sustained investments in technology, innovation and capacity, with manufacturing operations spanning tyres for passenger cars, vans, SUVs, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, three-wheelers and agricultural vehicles.

Besides meeting around half of Sri Lanka’s automotive tyre demand, CEAT Kelani exports approximately 20 per cent of its output to 16 countries. The company has invested more than Rs. 8.5 billion in Sri Lanka over the past decade and recently committed a further Rs. 4.5 billion, reinforcing its role as a key contributor to the national economy and a trusted partner to the transport sector.

Present in 27 countries, Brand Finance is the world’s first consultancy certified to provide ISO-compliant brand valuation and evaluation, and the first to produce reports compliant with both ISO 10668 and ISO 20671 standards.
