Sell-X Office Automation and TecCoop Sign Strategic Agreement to Drive Digital Transformation in Sri Lanka’s Cooperative Sector

A significant milestone in Sri Lanka’s cooperative and technology sectors was marked on April 23, 2026, at Monarch Imperial, with the signing of a strategic partnership between Sell-X and TecCoop. This collaboration aims to elevate the cooperative movement into a new era of digital transformation, innovation, and customer-centric service delivery.

TecCoop, a nationally registered cooperative operating under Sri Lanka’s Cooperative Act, is committed to modernizing cooperative societies through advanced technology solutions. Its core mission focuses on automation, consumer durables, business consultancy, and digital services, with the vision of “bringing cooperatives to the next level.”
As part of the broader cooperative ecosystem in Sri Lanka, such institutions play a vital role in economic and social development, providing accessible goods and services while operating under democratic and community-driven principles.

Through this newly signed agreement, Sell-X Office Automations enters as a key technology and service partner, strengthening Tec Coop’s capacity to deliver modern retail, IT, and automation solutions across cooperative networks islandwide. Sell-X will act as a comprehensive service provider in computers, consumer electronics, and home appliances, while also delivering after-sales and technical support systems.

A key highlight of this collaboration is the integration of Sell-X Office Automation, which will lead digital infrastructure development, office automation systems, and smart retail solutions tailored specifically for cooperative societies. This initiative is expected to enhance operational efficiency, improve customer experience, and introduce scalable digital platforms across the cooperative sector.

The partnership also reflects a broader shift toward digitalization within Sri Lanka’s cooperative movement, addressing long-standing challenges such as operational inefficiencies and limited access to modern technology. By combining Tec Coop’s cooperative network and Sell-X’s private-sector innovation capabilities, the collaboration is positioned to create sustainable growth and long-term value.

The agreement signing ceremony was attended by key representatives from both organizations. Among them were Dr. D.S.K. Pathirana, Chairman of TecCoop; Mr. Rohitha Annasiwatta, CEO of TecCoop; Mr. Thusitha De Silva, Vice Chairman of TecCoop; and Dr. Thilaka Kathriarachchi, Director of TecCoop. Representing SellX Holdings were Mr. Sameera Bopage, Chairman; Mrs. Hasintha Kularathne, Director and Mr. Pradeep Jagoda, Director of Sell-X Office Automation.

This strategic alliance marks the beginning of a transformative journey, where cooperative values meet cutting-edge technology. With a strong focus on innovation, accessibility, and service excellence, Sell-X and TecCoop are set to redefine how cooperative societies operate in the digital age, ultimately benefiting communities across Sri Lanka.
