Sri Lanka’s “Shady” clinches Bronze in WCC3 at WAVES Esports Championship

Mohamed Shaad Uvaiz (Shady) represented Sri Lanka at the WAVES Esports Championship, competing in the World Cricket Championship 3 (WCC3) event. The tournament, hosted by the Esports Federation of India (ESFI) as part of the WAVES Summit, brought together national athletes from across Asia to compete on an international stage.

In the WCC3 event, India’s Tejaskumar Hasmukhbhai Bhoi won gold, Nepal’s Rajat Budathoki secured silver, and Shady put forward a strong performance to take bronze for Sri Lanka.

Shady’s achievement adds to the growing recognition of Sri Lanka on the global esports stage, highlighting the talent and potential of local athletes in international competitions.
