Sriyani Dress Point, one of Sri Lanka’s leading fashion retailers, recently hosted its Annual Staff Awards 2026 at the Monarch Imperial, bringing together more than 1,000 employees from branches across the island to celebrate dedication, excellence and outstanding performance.
The annual event welcomed staff members representing all showrooms and departments, together with senior management and distinguished guests, in recognition of the people who continue to drive the company’s success and growth across Sri Lanka.
A highlight of the evening was the recognition of long-serving employees who marked 10, 15 and 20 years of service with the organisation, reflecting the company’s strong culture of loyalty, commitment and career progression. In addition to long service awards, outstanding employees and teams were recognised across several categories based on performance during the evaluation period from May 2025 to April 2026, including Best Customer Service, Target Achievement, Staff Retention, Quality Maintenance and other key operational and performance indicators that contribute to the company’s continued success.
Founded in 1993, Sriyani Dress Point has grown from a single retail outlet into one of Sri Lanka’s most recognised fashion destinations, offering customers an extensive portfolio of fashion apparel, jewellery, accessories, cosmetics and household essentials. Today, the company operates eight thriving showrooms across Kegalle, Kurunegala, Matale, Negombo and Ratnapura, alongside two prominent outlets in the heart of Kandy, with further expansion plans already underway. The company is also preparing to open a brand-new Colombo showroom later this year, strengthening its national footprint and bringing accessible fashion to even more Sri Lankan communities.
Today, the organisation has evolved into a retail enterprise employing more than 1,000 people, supported by experienced teams across all departments. The next generation of leadership has also assumed an active role in shaping the company’s future, with Directors Madushika Selvaraj, Dhinushika Selvaraj and Shabrajith Selvaraj overseeing key areas of the business and supporting its continued expansion.

He further added, “When we started this business, operations were managed by just two people, our current General Manager, Kanagaraj and me. Today, we are proud to have built a family of more than 1,000 employees, and with new showrooms planned, we expect that number to grow by another 300 employees before our next Staff Awards ceremony. Seeing our people succeed and grow alongside the business gives us confidence in the brand’s future and in our contribution to a stronger national economy. When people prosper, the country prospers too.”
