Seylan Bank recently partnered with Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams, Sri Lanka and Cinnamon Nature Trails, the premier wildlife and adventure experience provider of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, to offer an exclusive and immersive wildlife and leisure experience in ‘Jewels Beneath the Waves’.
Headlined by renowned photographers Eric Goh and Chitral Jayatilake, Vice President, Cinnamon Nature Trails, the latest entry in Cinnamon Nature Trails’ ‘Top Experts in the City’ series took place on Saturday, 29 August 2026 at Cumulus, Level 23, Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams Sri Lanka.
Curated exclusively for Seylan Private Banking, the evening brought together two distinctive perspectives of photography with Eric Goh, an internationally celebrated aquatic photographer, sharing experiences and insights from his journeys underwater, offering guests a rare glimpse into the elusive world beneath the surface of the waves that rarely comes to light.
The evening also featured the photography of Chitral Jayatilake, whose team’s memorable wildlife encounters and expeditions from across the world expanded the scope of the event while also presenting an exclusive and complimentary preview of upcoming nature travel experiences.
Showcasing the mysteries, diversity, and beauty of the underwater world, the ‘Jewels Beneath the Waves’ amplified the impact of a longstanding platform that unites inspiring voices in wildlife and photography while celebrating the exploration of meaningful experiences that connect audiences with the natural world. Revealing extraordinary facets of the world beneath the waves, the event offered guests a chance to not only engage with exceptional works of photography but also gain inspiration from two accomplished photographers and their unique approaches to wildlife, conversation, and storytelling through photography.
Bringing more than 20 remarkable years of specialization and experience in underwater nature photography, Eric Goh’s expansive portfolio has plumbed the depths of diverse marine environments to appear in numerous international magazines, newspapers, books, and campaigns.
In addition to penning ‘Terengganu Islands and State Parks’, a publication supported by the Royal Foundation, Eric’s work has also been commissioned for major tourism and environmental initiatives. Furthermore, he also serves as Chairperson and Judge of the Sultan Mizan International Photography Awards (SMIPA), one of Malaysia’s largest photography competitions.
In keeping with its promise as ‘The Essential Card for Your Heartfelt Essentials,’ the event offered an experience that combined an intimate proposition with the premium exclusivity Seylan Cards maintains for its Cardholders. Committed to supporting customers as they “Discover a World Reserved Exclusively for You”, the event encouraged the immersive exploration of a world beyond the surface for Seylan Private Banking customers with Visa Infinite, Visa Signature, and World MasterCards.
Committed to fulfilling its purpose as an enabler of transformative experiences for its cardholders, Seylan Cards’ continued collaboration with Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts and its nature-based tourism arm, Cinnamon Nature Trails, reaffirms its endeavour to strengthening relationships with premier customers through carefully curated experiences that go beyond traditional banking.
Furthermore, the collaboration stands as a new chapter in the Bank’s endeavour to create meaningful platforms where wildlife enthusiasts can meet, collaborate, and amplify conversation efforts for the future.
